Through a partnership with Sportable, VBC supports adaptive rowing opportunities for individuals with physical and visual disabilities in the Greater Richmond community.

Adaptive rowing is a category of rowing for those with physical disabilities or visual impairments. Indoor erging through the winter offers the opportunity to build strength and endurance and learn basic technique before rowing on the water in the spring/summer. Adaptive seating and boat modifications are available for athletes as needed.  Rowers have the opportunity to compete in local and regional regattas.
