The Virginia Boat Club (VBC) is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of promoting rowing in Greater Richmond, VA area. VBC offers members the opportunity to enjoy miles of scenic recreational and competitive rowing on the James River, and participate in local, regional, and national regattas.
VBC members have a wide variety of experience, ranging from novices to former national champions. We welcome all adults interested in rowing.
VBC hosts the Virginia Boat Club Sprints Regatta in June each year at our Robious Landing location. Mark your calendars for June 20 , 2026. Registration will be available at Regatta Central.
New to rowing? Join a sweep or sculling class.
Experienced rowers can join our masters sweep program or scull on their own or with friends in our club singles, 2x, 4x shells. Limited rack space for member personal boats.
